Infant Massage Instruction

The Achievement Center offers Infant Massage Instructions for adults with babies four weeks of age to crawling. Over the course of four 60-90 minute classes, participating parents and caregivers will practice individual strokes to be able to provide a total infant massage routine. Most infants respond positively to massage and we'll help you learn to read your baby's cues to best understand their preferences.

Infant massage not only relaxes and soothes both parent and baby, but it also provides opportunities for increased attachment and bonding. Massage also helps to improve infant sleep, relieve symptoms of gas and colic, and regulate the digestive, respiratory and circulatory systems. Overall, infant massage contributes toward your baby's positive development.

Class fee includes a copy of the book, Infant Massage: A Handbook for Loving Parents, by Vimala Schneider, and massage oil.Class sizes are limited. For more information about fees or to make a reservation, please contact Laura Plasczynski at 814-616-0536.
