ADHD Summer Treatment Program
In addition to traditional therapeutic services, each summer in Erie County the agency offers the Summer Treatment Program (STP), which provides treatment for children, ages 6-12, with ADHD or similar disorders. The STP uses a combination of behavior modification techniques, recreation, art, and parent education based on the model developed by Dr. William Pelham (SUNY Buffalo). The ultimate goal is to help each individual child learn coping skills to succeed at home, in school, and in the community.
This program is offered at two sites in Erie County for eight weeks every summer:
- Penn State Behrend, Erie, PA
- Edinboro University, Edinboro, PA
- STP Erie Brochure ages 6-12 (2.94 MB)
- STP Erie Brochure ages 13-16 (2.94 MB)
- STP Application (24.86 KB)
The program is also offered at a site in Crawford County for eight weeks:
- Allegheny College, Meadville, PA
- STP Crawford Brochure ages 6-12 (2.91 MB)
- STP Crawford Application (24.83 KB)
The program is also offered at a site in Warren County for eight weeks:
