Does your child have serious behavioral or emotional problem that gets in the way of day-to-day functioning with family, friends, school, or community?

Does your child or adolescent display emotional or behavioral problems such as poor anger management or trouble getting along with their peers?

Does your child act out at daycare or in a classroom making it difficult to learn?

Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS), formerly known as Wraparound, provides strengths-based, needs-driven, enhanced mental health services that give individualized support to children/adolescents and their families.

Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Services are a type of enhanced Mental Health intervention designed to be effective with children and adolescents who require more than just a weekly appointment in an office with a therapist.

In this BHRS level of care, the child is able to get mental health support in the school, daycare setting, home, or community, depending on where the behavioral or emotional problems occur. BHRS services are provided on-site by Master’s Level Mobile Therapists (MTs) and/or Behavior Specialist Consultants (BSCs) to the client and to his or her family. Their work is supported by Therapeutic Staff Supports (TSSs) who are present with the client at various times during the week in order to facilitate success on the client’s treatment plan.

These services are useful for a variety of behavioral and emotional problems including such things as Attention Deficit Disorder, Autism, Depression Anxiety or Oppositional Defiant Disorder, for example.
BHRS is based on the child’s strengths and is individualized to their particular needs. Services are available by calling our intake department to schedule an initial Psychological Evaluation. This evaluation will determine if BHRS services are Medically Necessary for the child’s well-being, and, if so, a prescription for MT, BSC or TSS is written.

The goals of BHRS are to improve communication, social functioning, emotional regulation, safety, or classroom behavior. BHRS is designed to successfully maintain the client in their home in order for them to stabilize their behavior and emotions or to maintain the client successfully in their academic setting so they can achieve maximum benefit from their educational placement. BHRS is based on the Child and Adolescent Service System Program (CASSP).
