Why the Achievement Center

Where do family members go when the child they love is diagnosed with cerebral palsy, a toddler doesn’t walk or talk when he or she should, a son has autism, or a daughter is constantly oppositional and defiant? Every day, parents in our region, from every social and economic background, turn to the highly respected therapists and professional programs at the Achievement Centerfor hope, care and guidance.

The Achievement Center is the sole agency in the Erie region that exclusively serves children who are dealing with physical, developmental, emotional and behavioral disabilities. In fulfilling its mission to maximize the potential of children, the Center serves 3,400 children each year, and because the agency provides treatment at a critical point in a young life, the possibility of a positive outcome is significantly increased.

The families and children that come to the Achievement Center are never fully prepared for the challenges they face. Since its founding in 1923, the Center has given hope when confronted by seemingly hopeless situations.

Please help us make a difference in the lives of children and families in the Erie region. Your support will be used to maximize the potential of every child we serve.
